About the event
CD/DC is part of the CDFAM Computational Design Symposium Series, held worldwide.
The Washington DC program brings together engineering practitioners, software developers, researchers, and public-sector stakeholders to discuss the application of computational design, simulation-driven engineering, artificial intelligence, and data-centric workflows across aerospace, defense, infrastructure, manufacturing, and energy systems.
Dedicated sessions address public-sector priorities including standards development, interoperability, workforce development, and government-industry-academia collaboration. The program is structured around practical use cases and current engineering challenges.
This event complies with Widely Attended Gathering guidelines as specified by the legislative and executive branches of the United States Government.

Evening workshop session — July 15
Open to registered government observers at no cost
The evening session gives participants a firsthand look at how the methods discussed during the day are being applied across government and industry.
A live demonstration will show how five or more fully interoperable, AI-native tools and agents can integrate new sensor and compute capabilities, update an entire UAS design, and re-certify it for manufacturability and safety in less time than it takes to assemble an Ikea bookshelf.
Istari Digital
The digital thread across multiple partners and tools
Arena Physica
AI for electromagnetic design and engineering
Luminary
Physics AI-driven optimization across multi-domain engineering
nTop
Fast and robust design with implicit functions and direct simulation
C-Infinity
AI-enabled assembly configuration spaces
SysGit
GitHub for systems engineering integration
Opportunities to engage directly with subject-matter experts are built into the evening format with networking drinks and demo stations.
