Registration is now open for CDFAM Barcelona 2026, April 8-9, 2026.
CDFAM brings together engineers, designers, researchers, and software developers working at the intersection of computational design, simulation, advanced manufacturing, and architecture.
The Barcelona symposium will continue this focus, with two days of technical presentations and applied case studies examining computational design as the foundational framework of modern design and engineering, including the increasing role of AI and machine-learning–driven methods across materials, products, engineering workflows, and architectural-scale systems.
Space is limited, and tickets typically sell out well in advance of the event. Registration will close once capacity is reached. Early registration is strongly recommended to secure your place at the cutting edge of design, engineering and architecture.

Testimonials
Toby Wilkinson, la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid,
“CDfAM 2024 wrapped up last week, and my head is on fire with thoughts and inspiration. …the worlds best conference for computational design…. I am so happy to have found myself in this community, and those two days have truly left their mark. Everyone I got to speak to was open, willing to share ideas, and approachable.”
Kristen Edwards, MIT.
“I was honored to speak at CDFAM – Computational Design Symposium in Berlin last week! … an incredible event bringing together experts in computational design, artificial intelligence, and additive manufacturing.”
Andrew Sink, Carbon.
“I thoroughly enjoyed all the presentations and especially appreciated the backstage discussions with the presenters about the future of this field.
A big thank you … for organizing this stellar event and bringing together such a talented group of computational design enthusiasts and the experts behind the software.”
Markus Lempke, Siemens Energy
“My head is still trying to process and sort all the impressions and ideas that I got from the wide rage of presentations at CDFAM – Computational Design Symposium last week in Berlin.”
Gabriel Garcia, Royal HaskoningDHV
“Super happy to have been part of CDFAM – Computational Design Symposium representing Royal HaskoningDHV and NACO, Netherlands Airport Consultants, but overall, super proud to have shared the podium in the architectural block with Verena V. (McNeel), Preety Anand (BIG) and Rick Titulaer (Arup).
In general, it was a very insightful series of talks from computational designers in different disciplines around the world”
Verena Vogler, McNeel Europe
“a truly inspiring computational design event – CDFAM – Computational Design Symposium took place at the iconic Frank Gehry building adjacent to the historic Brandenburg Gate. Thank you… for making McNeel part of CDFAM – Computational Design Symposium, for gathering such a talented crowd, and for the opportunity to present”
The Barnes Global Advisors
“Amidst the full house, discussions centered around the push for automation in design workflows – but in a transparent way as to prevent AI from becoming a black box multiplier. CDFAM is doing it right, aiming to facilitate more open, authentic conversations around hot topics. Thanks to Duann Scott for the invitation and exceptional event!”
“Glad I got the chance to speak about automotive applications and their challenges when using computational design and discuss with so many bright minds from all over the globe at CDFAM – Computational Design Symposium in Berlin. Thanks Duann Scott for organizing such an inspiring event!”
Elissa Ross – Metafold
“I had an amazing time at CDFAM – Computational Design Symposium in Berlin. Bravo for putting together this mind-expanding event, my brain is absolutely full of ideas, connections and questions. I was truly honoured to share the stage with so many thinkers shaping the future of engineering and digital manufacturing.
