We are seeking a leader to develop and shape the strategy for our next generation of rotorcraft designs.
The Work
As a key leader of our design team you will:
- Develop both design methods and manufacturing methods for automated assembly of major aircraft components
- Work with operations team to design future factories
- Work with design teams to optimize designs for future factories
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in advanced manufacturing, with a proven record of leading large scale, highly automated production programs
- Design for Advanced Manufacturing (DfAM): Demonstrated expertise in translating design concepts into manufacturable, cost effective components using modern DfM principles
- Direct experience with aerostructures and dynamic components (e.g., rotor blades, hubs, gearboxes) for rotorcraft platforms
- US citizenship required — most programs and projects are ITAR restricted
Desired Skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the development of innovative solutions
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; a focus on manufacturing, composites, or aerospace structures is preferred
Pay Rate: $144,600 – $255,070 annually (standard); $166,400 – $288,305 in major metropolitan areas in CA, MA, and NY. 4×10 hour schedule. Onsite, Stratford CT.
